Dear Colleague

Welcome to the web page for the 2nd International Cruise Conference.  The 1st International Cruise Conference (ICC), held at the University of Applied Science, Bremerhaven, addressed emerging concepts and practices that were aimed at managing the cruise industry’s growth and sustainability in the face of upcoming challenges. The 2nd International Cruise Conference, to be held at the University of Plymouth in the UK, seeks to build on the successful outcomes of the inaugural conference and takes as its overarching focus: the cruise industry – emerging issues, problems and solutions.

The cruise industry continues to show resilience in the face of ever-changing and, as has become all too apparent, highly volatile trading conditions. It is a solution orientated industry: constantly developing as it grows and creating a bank of skills and knowledge, while dealing with a broad range of emergent issues and problems. This conference seeks to be a Professional Development incubator and to provide a platform for cruise industry professionals and academics to engage in dialogue, to share research findings and to examine good practice.
